About us

Welcome to Pasco Fine Arts Council

About Us

The Pasco Fine Arts Council was created by the Pasco County Commissioner’s Office on September 1, 1978 as the arts entity for Pasco County and whose mission is to provide art education to the community, encourage community involvement in the arts, and to be a leader in stimulating art and cultural entities throughout Pasco County.

From this council sprung the Pasco fine arts center where exhibitions of local and renowned artists have exhibited;  a full schedule of visual art instructions are available; and workshops, demonstrations and programs for children are provided.

Recently the Council has extended its programming to East Pasco County through a partnership with the master planned community, Avalon Park West.  As this relationship grows, the community will be providing a location on the East side of the County where the Pasco Fine Arts Council will be able to provide the east Pasco communities with an art center where participation in the arts through cultural events, education and Children’s programs will be readily available for these communities.

Vision

The Art Center’s mission is to provide cultural resources to the community and to encourage the knowledge and appreciation of all art forms. As a nonprofit organization, the Pasco Arts Council depends on the support of the community to remain a strong and vibrant part of cultural life in our county. Your donations are a valued component of our budget, providing general operating support, and permit us to continue our success in providing quality arts opportunities in Pasco County.

Art is not just ornamental. It is an enhancement of life. It is a path in itself, a way out of the predictable and conventional. It is a way to self-discovery.
